The Basilica of Santa Cecilia stands right behind Palazzo Baj — close enough that you could walk there in the time it takes to finish a coffee. Cecilia was a noblewoman of this district, married against her will, who kept faith with a vow she’d made in secret until it cost her everything. Legend says she survived three days shut in a bathhouse built to kill her with heat, before she was finally beheaded — and that when her tomb was opened again, more than a thousand years later, her body hadn’t decayed at all. She never needed the whole city to remember her. Just this corner of it did, and still does.

The private bathroom has an Italian-designed gres tile finish and a 120cm double sensory shower for two, with a wide rainfall shower head and LED lighting. Bathroom amenities are from the Acqua di Colonia line — a high-end selection built entirely around the Mediterranean fragrance experience.
The room is equipped with air conditioning, fast fiber Wi-Fi, a 32″ Smart TV with Pay TV and free Netflix, an electronic safe, hairdryer, pillows of varying softness and a full luxury vanity set, plus extra blankets and 100% Italian cotton towels and linens. A hot drink kettle station and a mini-bar stocked with Italian specialties, organic and gluten-free products, and a selection of wines complete the room

We use to pamper our guests with a freed buffet always available in the lounge area to enjoy the moments inside the Guest House and retreat with an espresso or a piece of ricotta and visciole pie. Also vegan and gluten free options.

- Upon check-in a photo ID and credit card is required.
- Upon arrival, room and main gate keys will be provided to access the property. Keys must be returned at the departure, A penalty of € 50.00 is required in case of loss or breakage.
